We at Vision Motorcycle Training not only offer training courses for full licenses but also for restricted licenses. This means that we offer a comprehensive training course for anyone who is aged 17-18.
This course has been specifically designed for younger riders; we take any learner from complete beginner to road-ready rider.

Passing your A1 restricted motorcycle test means that you can ride a bike of up to 125cc and 11Kw (14.6bhp) without “L” plates. You will also be able to legally carry passengers and use motorways. Our dedicated instructors will help you through both the theory and practical elements of your test. However, our courses do not just ensure that you can pass your test, they also go beyond the expectations of your test to make sure that you feel confident in your own ability to ride and share the road safely.
Training will be tailored to your individual needs, so with Vision you can be sure that you will receive the very best quality, bespoke training available. The A1 course is carried out at our Motorcycle Training School in Welwyn Garden City, a short drive from St Albans.
We will provide you with all of the equipment needed to safely take part in the training session. This includes a bike, helmet, gloves and other protective gear. However, you need to ensure that you arrive wearing appropriate clothing and footwear.
Once booked on to your training session you will receive an email outlining exactly what you need to bring with you to your session.
The A1 licence has been specially designed for younger riders, helping to get 17 and 18 year olds on the road. It also means that you can take your motorcycle test on a 125cc bike and, once you have passed, your A1 light motorcycle licence will allow you to ride a bike of up to 125cc and 11Kw (14.6bhp) without “L” plates.
We use Keeway RKS 125cc and Yamaha YBR125cc machines.
