There are two different routes to a category A licence: If you are 24 or over, you are eligible to take the test using the Direct Access Scheme (DAS).
On the other hand if you have held a full category A” licence for two years, you could take the category A test under the Progressive Access Scheme. (e.g. if you pass the A2 test at 19 years old, you become eligible to take the category A test two years later, at 21).
Once you have passed the category A test, you can ride a motorcycle of any size and power.
We understand that everyone’s schedule and budget are different. That’s why we offer the flexibility to spread the cost of your lessons — you simply pay as you book, rather than paying the full £762.50 upfront.

Regardless of whether you take the full or restricted DAS (Direct Access Scheme), we train you using clear step by step training stages to ensure that, by the time you complete your course with us and become a qualified rider, you are safe and confident in your own ability. We not only prepare you for your practical test but also provide you with resources and expert staff to prepare you for theory test.

We will provide you with all of the equipment needed to safely take part in the training session. This includes a bike, helmet, gloves and other protective gear. However, you need to ensure that you arrive wearing appropriate clothing and footwear.
Once booked on to your training session you will receive an email outlining exactly what you need to bring with you to your session.

This depends entirely on the individual’s experience and ability – this will be assessed very early in your training with Vision. We pride ourselves on tailoring the training to your personal requirements.
